2021 was another roller coaster of a year for global supply chains. Issues like labor shortages, parcel constraints, and port congestion, combined with a dramatic spike in eCommerce, called for innovation. All that to say, Flexe was anything but bored last year. We helped the world’s largest companies navigate these supply chain disruptions and still managed to squeeze in some fun along the way. In keeping with our annual tradition, here are some of our biggest highlights from the past year.
- Pioneered a new logistics category (again) and refreshed our brand
When Flexe first started, our goal was to create a solution for short-term warehousing needs. And we did it, establishing the category of on-demand warehousing in the process. But then we built sophisticated technology features, advanced operations, and optimizations. In 2021, we introduced 12 Flexe Logistics Programs that solve discrete challenges shippers face including Rapid Replenishment, Same-Day Delivery, and Dynamic Fulfillment Programs.
To reflect this evolution, our team created a new brand identity that captures our growth for the modern enterprise, beyond the on-demand warehousing category. Our new logo and visual identity represent our ongoing customer obsession, our passion for innovation, and our commitment to solving our customers’ hardest logistics challenges.
2. Welcomed new faces across the country
Flexe more than doubled our employee headcount to ~400 world-class professionals. And we hired Lara Rogers as our first-ever SVP, General Manager, who will help define Flexe’s market solutions and lead the business team.
We continue to operate 100% remotely and hire in every department. If you’re looking for a new opportunity, find open positions here: https://jobs.lever.co/flexe!
3. Introduced the Flexe Institute
In 2021, we launched the Flexe Institute, a new initiative that examines industry trends, data, and problems retailers, brands, and logistics providers face. The Institute will provide the broader market with data-driven insights to drive operational readiness, supply chain resilience, and growth. 4. Supported social sustainability with PhilantroFlexe
Giving back to our local communities remains a core part of the Flexe DNA. Our company-wide initiative, PhilantroFlexe, hosted a “Holiday Giving Challenge” where Flexe employees divided into regional teams and competed for “Giving Points,” earned by donating and volunteering at organizations that focus on social sustainability.
Holiday Giving Challenge by the numbers:
- 111.5 hours of in-person volunteering at organizations such as Toys for Tots, Northwest Harvest, and FareStart
- $21,839 donated to more than 100 organizations across the country
- $5,000 donated to a non-profit of the winning Flexe team’s choice
5. Celebrated our award-winning team
